How To Boost Your Adsense Income

By Randall Nielsen

Practically all IM marketers have at least heard of Google Adsense at some point. It's one of the many ways to monetize your website and earn some decent money from it. This particular program has been in existence for a long time, and it's still going strong for some marketers. Most of the people who get started with AdSense have this perception that in order to be successful with AdSense you have to just create an account and get started. However, the first and the foremost step to becoming a quality AdSense publisher is to do your research work so that you don't end up putting your effort in the wrong direction. Here are a couple helpful strategies that you can use in your adsense monetization.

First, there are a number of things to consider, but just know that how well your ads both stand-out and blend-in will determine just about everything. Among other things, be sure to check your placement so they are visible no matter what monitor resolution is used. Another smart thing to do is make your ads blend in well with surroundings. We're sure you don't want to waste your time by not having any visitors click on your ads. You do need to exercise some care with how much room is around your ads - give them a little room. If you put them in tables, which a lot of marketers do, then use sufficient padding and not too close to site content.

Google's TOS regarding adsense are strict without a lot of leeway, but you can still do well with it if you're dedicated. Thousands of publishers have had their accounts banned for life for various infractions. So make sure you don't click your own Adsense ads or ask others to click on them. Google wants to be wholesome, cough, so avoid putting your ads on porn sites, etc. Other precautions, or no-no's, include cloaking links, using link farms, or tinkering with the adsense code. You may, very likely will, get banned for life from Google's adsense program.

Google Adsense is always changing and improving. You should also find that the traffic you receive will be different from time to time as well. You can monitor this by watching your stats regularly. You need to know which page of your site is giving you the most traffic and why is it working better than others. It's also a good idea to understand where your visitors are coming from. Everything to do with your site can be tracked and monitored, so use this wisely. When you start to keep an eye on your stats, you come to know what's working and what's not. If you understand more clearly how your visitors are finding you and which niches are bringing in profits for you, it's easier to replicate that success over to other sites.

No doubt about Adsense being the number one contextual ad program, and it's very huge and well known. If you are in a profitable market, and you get good traffic, then it's very easy money to put adsense on your site.
