MLM Keys To Success - What Your Upline Isn't Telling You

Why is it that it seems so DIFFICULT to build your downline and grow your MLM business? After all the company has given you all the "MLM keys to success" that all the top earners supposedly used to make money hand over fist, and you are doing everything they are doing. So why isn't it working as quickly or as easily?

Well the truth is that the MLM keys to success they are giving you can (and do) work to some extent, but they do not tell you the whole story. In particular, what they are not telling you is making it much more difficult to grow your business, and is actually COSTING you money!

All of the car stickers, in-home meetings, passing out business cards and product samples, and using corporate replicated websites are geared toward teaching you to do two things to build your MLM business. One, they are geared to have you position yourself as a representative of your company (and to position your company and your upline as the "experts"). Two, they are geared to have you chasing people and trying to convince them that they should want to join your business (i.e., to lead with the business opportunity). You are told that doing these things are not only MLM keys to success, but the best (and the ONLY) MLM keys to success.

Let's first evaluate what they ARE telling you here. Are they telling the truth? Can you build your MLM business doing these things and using this approach? The answer is yes . . . you can. Building your business this way, though, is about the slowest way you can build a business like this.

There are several things that they DON'T tell you about these so-called MLM keys to success, though, that you need to know and which are literally taking money out of your pocket day after day. First and foremost, the truth of the matter is that this is not the only way to build an MLM business -- and certainly not the quickest way.

When you look more closely into these "MLM keys to success" that most people are taught to do, you see that they have much more negative consequences to them than positive ones.

First, because of how slowly this way of building an MLM business works, by definition you are not making money as soon as you could be and are forced to SPEND money longer before you see any replacement and profits. So this is taking money out of your pocket each and every day and week longer than it has to for you to be in profit.

Second, while leading with the opportunity, chasing people, and twisting people's arms to get them to sign up might work to get people into your business, there is a HUGE downside to this -- one that takes more money out of your pocket than you probably realize. Here is why this kind of positioning is really not one of the MLM keys to success.

When you take this "arm twisting" and aggressive convincing position -- trying to get people who are not otherwise interested in your products or your business to be interested -- you are going to have a very high drop out rate. Meaning, a large number of the people you bring in to your business this way, will not stay in your business long.

You will have people dropping off of your downline consistently month after month. What that leaves you to have to do to build your business then, is to have to recruit not only people to grow your business, but also enough people to make up for the people who are dropping out every month.

Do you see why this approach is not only really NOT an MLM key to success, and is actually taking money OUT of your pocket? It costs you -- both in real dollars and in time -- for each person you have to recruit, and for each person you lose (because they are no longer on autoship and buying the products). When you have to both consistently replace people who drop out AND continue to try to get new people, you are always fighting an uphill battle and always losing money on balance.

Finally, by positioning your company and your upline as the experts (instead of positioning YOU as the expert), you are depriving yourself of the opportunity to build a relationship with your prospects and your downline that will make them loyal to you and which will make them likely to buy more from you down the line. So positioning yourself in this way is not in truth one of the MLM keys to success.

When you take a totally different approach to building your business in which you position yourself as the leading authority, where you lead with the benefit and solution you can offer, and where you are having people chasing you instead of the opposite taking place, then you are learning the true MLM keys to success. The result is that you can build your business faster than you imagined, and start putting money in your pocket a lot faster.
