Basic And Effective Online Marketing Techniques

By Dan Vlady

Internet marketing has gained a lot of popularity in the past few years, thanks to the growing awareness of the World Wide Web. With that said, we want to move ahead with some internet marketing tips and strategies you can use in your business.

High quality content is so important to the success of many methods within internet marketing. In order to attract traffic and to generate interest, you have to work on creating some kind of content that will be able to do this job. One strategy that has been under-used by many online marketers is guest writing. That's right, there are many blogs in various niches that allow you to write guest posts about the topic of your choice, and in return give you the credit for it. This can be powerful because you'll be getting your name out there, people will recognize it, and you can drive some targeted traffic to your site. A lot of people probably don't even try it because they feel they're not expert enough. If you search for the term, guest blogging, you will discover blogs that will consider you, all they really want is good content that has something good to say. This is a tremendous avenue to almost wide and instant readership. For example, if a blog in your niche that allows guest writing, has 50,000 monthly readers, it would prove to be an ideal place to get targeted visitors to your own website. You don't have to be a professional writer to do this, either. If you can write a good 800 to 1,000 word article, then you can write a high quality post that will be accepted by other blogs. When you go through this process, you'll realize the power of funneling in traffic from various blogs to your own site.

The best strategy to get the most out of your article marketing campaign is to create articles that follow a known pattern. So if you create articles that have an attention-pulling headline, followed by an opening paragraph to pique interest, the rest of the article should be written to enhance the reader's desire and finally, add a resource box with a strong call to action. In copywriting, this is known as the AIDA formula, and it can work extremely well in article marketing too. When you write articles to use for your marketing, remember to focus on addressing a particular problem that you can then offer a solution for within your resource box. Make it clear why their problem needs to be addressed and offer some education about the topic. Try to avoid direct selling within your article, but add some pre-selling aspects instead. You are only going to warm up your reader here so that he/she turns into a prospect. But when you write articles that are too vague and un-interesting, you won't find much of a response from your readers. The primary reason to write and publish articles is to generate a steady stream of traffic to your site, not give out a boring text book lecture. In order to do this, write articles that flow smoothly and lead the reader directly to your resource box, in which you should have included a link back to your site for more information. It's easy to generate great results if you leverage your article marketing like this.

Regardless of the type of product you're promoting or what strategy you use, you should always create your own unique selling point. Work on ways to really get your offer to stand apart from the crowd so your audience is tempted to take notice. Over-deliver on your product or offer something unique to your buyers that they can't find anywhere else. In the end, your goal should be to work on being different from the others. Even though not many would be keen on applying this strategy, but it has worked for many small and big companies, and it will work for you too. Just remember that when you're marketing on the web, it's different from the offline world. It's important to consider ways to impress your target market if you want the results.

All in all, Internet marketing can be really easy and simple, if you know what you're doing.
