The Resurgence Of Mens Suits

By Carol Baker

Men's suits offer a distinctive image of professionalism to any man. It can be worn to any event whether in the workplace, job interviews, conference or just about any formal event. Clearly it's as adaptable as it can be every time a man desires to look his very best.

Evidently in spite of the changing trend in men's fashion it can be notice that the basic cut of mens suits which is the double breasted and single breasted suit stays the same. The main reason for this is that the basic cut of the suits brings about the masculinity of men.

For the single breasted suit, it can be observed that the latest cut for this type of suit are influenced by the previous generations. To be more specific, a sleek and confidence cut of the 1930s and 1970s are making its revival nowadays. This is incorporated by slim to medium V-cut lapel with breast pocket that serves more of a decoration as it is not intended to hold anything. It is adorned with two buttons with the upper button located around the navel.

Meanwhile, the revival of the double breasted suit is much better than it used to be. In the earlier year this type of suit was created in a boxy cut which is to cover up a plump figure of the men. At present, the cut is made in a V- style which implies a broader shoulder and slims right down to the waist. This is actually to offer more highlights to the build of a well worked body.

Modern style double breasted suit should have peaked lapels. It should extend into the waist to provide a taller image to the wearer. Further, unlike the single breasted suit, the breast pocket of a double breasted suit should accommodate a pocket handkerchief. The purpose of which is to make the wearer stand out amongst the crowd who could be wearing the same style of suit.

Subsequently the revival of waistcoat that has suffered its declined in the earlier times similarly carried back the popularity of a three piece suit. Just like the above mentioned mens suits, the style are still very similar as it was before. Although it is best recommended that the pieces associated with the suit should have the same fabric and colour. By doing this it gives the notion that the wearer is mindful of what he wears and just how he looks while wearing it.

It should not be disregarded that although all type of mens suits are designed to make the wearer looks his finest, its fit should be perfect whatever his body type. Otherwise, the wearer will only look sloppily dressed which should not be case in the first place.

Obviously men's fashion trends through the years do not change as much as that of the women. Mens suits design are still the same as it was in the earlier generations although some innovative style might be incorporated to it, still the same basic cut stays the same.
