The Right Display Stands For Maximum Sales

By David Murphy

Display stands are a common sight in any store that sells greeting cards, every shop owner knows that. This same fact tends to make shop owners ignore the potential of this piece of shop furniture, it's so commonplace, nobody seems to care about it. Shop owners are wrong in thinking that these stands are all the same. In this article, we will talk about how display stands can boost sales and how to choose the right one for you.

Display stands are often used in shops to bring more attention to a particular product. The stand should be both classy and imaginative, in a way that complements the greeting cards that it exhibits. Take note, however, that same magnificence and artistry should not overshadow the items being displayed. The greeting cards should be at the forefront, after all.

First, space should be the a consideration when choosing the perfect stand. Of course, a stand that can hold a large number of cards will allow the you to display as many cards as possible. This allows your customers to have more options as to what cards they can purchase, without having to rummage through a ton of mixed-up merchandise, so that they can find the one that they really want. This is the reason why there are some space-saving stand designs that can go full circle. Since fewer hands will touch the cards on display, these cards will still look brand new even after a long time, thus saving the shopkeepers time and effort in reorganising the displays.

Second, its design must be in harmony with what it displays. When we say design,we refer not only to the colors and lines that make up the product, but also the overall architecture and materials used to make it. The perfect stand should look elegant and up-to-date. Have you noticed the countless number of greeting card stands that line so many shops, a vast majority of which looked like they were ripped out from an 80's movie? That is what customers do not want. Instead, they want a display that exudes an air of relevance and responsiveness - something that more modern stands can offer.

Third, the design should not be so grandiose that the stand becomes more attractive for the buyer than the items on display. A lot of shop owners tend to stretch the budget so that they can purchase overly elaborate pieces for their shops in an effort to make their displays more catchy, only to find out later on that their prized piece of equipment actually smothers the items which it is supposed to promote. To illustrate, if you will be displaying greeting cards with simpler designs, the stand should also be simple - the use of a flamboyant design may backfire, as customers may like the stand, and not what's on it.

Space is something that display stands must have. Letting customers see more options means that they would need to exert less effort in looking for what they want. This also means that there will be less wear and tear for those greeting cards on display. Moreover, the overall design must be in agreement with the cards that are on display. It must be elegant, a trait that can be actualised through restraint. These are what makes the perfect display stand, something that allows customers to see the best qualities of your greeting cards, something that will make your sales skyrocket.
