There is a whole new set of dynamics involved when you are marketing your service. A lot of online services will look at what is required and then produce a quote for the job. But the curious aspect many people encounter is there will often be lingering thoughts after the quote is given.
We humans often ask reflective questions wondering if things might have been different. Should you have quoted a greater price? Is it way too low or too high, etc. If you are ethical, then you may wonder if a higher price is completely fair. One thing that is pretty frequent with service providers is more work can often happen with any job. This article is exactly about establishing correct and fair rates structures in the services business online.
There are a thousand various service based businesses on the net, most likely more. Why don't we take a minute to look at something that is actually pretty significant.
You are also, and more notably, providing your clientele with a set of clear advantages for their business. Can you see and feel the big difference between the two? People tend to hold and view positive aspects they are aware of in a much completely different light. When a person thinks of a service provider, or receiving a service, there is a tremendously general feeling attached to it. We all get services of one kind each and every day, and once again no unique feelings about it. So what you should do is utilize the power of market positiioning; you do not provide a service - you offer people benefits.
Let me ask... are you really aware of your true value; how much your benefits are worth? How well do you realize or are aware about what is out there, what you offer, and other aspects such as quality and experience? It is nothing new or shocking that people tend to under-appreciate what they have to offer and the value of it.
However, it is imperative that your analysis is totally objective in all respects. Do understand that if you lack experience, then that should rightly affect what you can reasonably charge. You can do research online, and that can be a good way to get off to a start if you have no idea where to begin. All you need to do is find others who provide the same kind of service you will, and check out what they charge or offer for their services. By doing that you will at least have some kind of point from which to start your own assessment.
One area you want to always steer clear of is the negotiating or "haggling over price" conversation. That is where people will want to take advantage of you as much as possible. Even if you clearly state your fees on your site, you will see people who will want to get you to come down as much as possible. Dropping your fees simply reflects poorly on you; as if you have low self-esteem and self worth, etc. Once a person senses they have a foot in that door, then our experience indicates that things tend to get worse from that point on.
