Updated Information On Pennsylvania Criminal Records

By Ben Kingsley

The state of Pennsylvania has an online system that manages the Pennsylvania arrest records. This system is called Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History. The local residents of Pennsylvania have the freedom to access the criminal records of the state.

The criminal reports of Pennsylvania which also includes the arrest records are stored and managed by the Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History. All of the request for any criminal record can be done with the use of the system. With this, the search is a lot more convenient and hassle free for both the government staff and the one who filed the request.

Before the development of the Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History system, retrieval has to be done at the right office to avoid hassle and delay. It usually takes one complete day to file the request. The results of the search can be delivered only after 14 days since the request was filed. All of the time spent in waiting can be avoided by searching for the document using the online system. One can get the results of the search after filling out the form and doing only a few clicks on the mouse.

An arrest record of Pennsylvania contains details pertaining to the arrest of an individual. Such information includes the full name of the individual involved as well as the details of the person's birth. The address of where the individual resides is also indicated on the file. One will also find information about where and when the arrest took place. Details as to how and why the individual has been arrested are also indicated on the file. Additional information that can be found on the document includes the names of the people who are involved with the incident. However, sensitive information such as the names of the witnesses as well as the officer who handled the case is kept confidential for security purposes.

A processing fee of only $10 has to be paid when requesting for a copy of such document through the state's database. Anybody can use the system; however, residents of Pennsylvania can only request for their personal file, otherwise, an authorization letter has to be presented. Organizations, business, agencies and other individuals who have the authority can easily access the records of another person.

Most websites now have linked and connected their server to the state's online database. This allows a broad and thorough search in order to provide the best possible result to the users. One can choose to pay for the search or get the arrest records free. Doing a free search is made possible by using the website's trial offerings; however, the search conducted is not as thorough compared to the id search. This is the reason why residents of Pennsylvania still prefer the paid option.
