Be Trendy With Mobile Blogging

By Richard Horowitz

Few things are considered as cool today as mobile blogging. Blogging itself was created for posters to be able to divulge information and update it frequently. Mobile blogging takes this fast spreading of news even further, since posters can blog immediately as soon something happens. This new breed of mobloggers and moblogs has the power to inform the public around the world about current events the moment they happen.

Some have expressed the feeling that blogging is definitively limited by the distance between a blogger and their computer. If something blog-worthy happened, one would have to run home and boot up the computer before being able to report it, and that would take time. But with mobile blogging, posters can publish content instantly, no matter where they are. Moblogging has made it possible for bloggers to post from virtually every corner of the world.

Mobile blogging is still a fairly new trend, since the devices necessary to make it happen are fresh on the market. Though the first moblogging technology first appeared about ten years ago, the trend didn't hit until the last two to three years, or since the technology became more user-friendly. The phenomenon began when cell phone camera became more widespread and users started using them more.

The popularity of moblogging is growing steadily, and especially in the last few months it has attracted a lot of attention. Nobody can really tell if moblogging will be the only blogging of the future, but what is sure is that it is not going anywhere any time soon.

With the advent of more sophisticated mobile technology, bloggers are now able to post content and photos immediately when something happens. Just to make an example, coverage of a presidential speech or of an important moment in the world series can take place the moment these events unfold, from location. This allows bloggers to divulge information in a way that will involve the public and make them feel as if they are there. The advantages of mobility and personal control allow mobloggers to be included into a new elite class that will continue growing in the years to come.
