Discussion on Diamond Ring Settings

There are many diamond ring settings. So, what type of diamond ring setting do you prefer? You will find few diamond ring settings. These settings enhance the beauty of your rings. You might use any settings according to your choice. A few of the settings which enhance the beauty of your rings are discussed beneath:

Prong

The Pronge setting is the traditional way of arrangement that give maximum publicity of diamond. It adds more rays to go through the diamond. This results brilliance and reflection of multiples of light to give the bright impact.

Bezel

The Bezel setting is primarily known for its simplicity and durability. This style of setting encases the surrounding outer edge of the diamond inside a fine frame of metal (Gold or platinum). Mostly top white gold jewelry and platinum is used in this kind of setting. This setting also gives shape to the diamond.

Channel

The bezel settings are arranged with two solid sides with out prongs. The stone is mounted flush with the top of the channel. It helps to line up stones with minimal area between them. The gems within this type of setting are inset in to the ring by itself they are protected from chipping and therefore are less likely to snag on clothes and the like.

Invisible setting

In the Invisible setting, diamonds are kept very close to each other with concealed metal settings. It appears as a continuous, uninterrupted surface of diamonds. You will find no prongs or bezels so, light enters and illuminate each stone.

Pave

The Pave setting is a technique for making a surface encrusted with small round diamonds. The diamonds is kept into a drill hole are secured by small beads of metal that are pushed up against the girdle of the stones. The diamonds are separated only by the width of these small beads.
