How Do You Use Private Label Articles?

By Nicole Dean

You probably have noticed the term Private Label Rights (PLR) in your research online. PLR articles are simply articles that others have written that you can buy (either in packages or as part of a membership) to use in your internet business. The best part is that you can edit the articles and use them as if you'd written them yourself.

Why not just hire a ghostwriter or use free reprint articles? Well, unlike ghostwritten articles, PLR articles only cost between $1-$2 each - whereas good quality ghostwritten articles can be as much as $15-$30 or more. And, if you compare PLR to free reprint articles, unlike articles from places like EzineArticles.com or LadyPens.com, you do not need to link back to the author. So, you can keep all of your traffic instead of sending it off to the author of the article.

I'll bet you're thinking right now of how much simpler blogging would be if you had drafts that you could legally copy & paste onto your blogs. Well, with PLR - that's exactly what you can do. But, don't think that's all that you can do with it. In the rest of this article, I'd like to go through a few of the more interesting ways to use PLR content in your online business.

1. Send them in your newsletter. Need content for your newsletter or ezine? PLR articles to the rescue! Of course, if you're developing a relationship with your readers, you will want to edit the articles to make them your own voice. However, you can pull a section from a PLR article - use it as inspiration -- and whip out a newsletter in minutes rather than in hours.

2. Develop a set-it and forget-it ecourse. Picture this. You find an article set or report at a trusted PLR site called "50 Ways to Save Money on Groceries" and you decide to buy it. All you have to do is copy and paste each of those 50 items into your autoresponder and you'll have a year's worth of content that you can mail to your readers in a weekly ecourse. You think that can help you to grow your list and expert status? I certainly do.

3. Send your customers a printed newsletter in the mail. I'm guessing your email inbox is cluttered to the top. But, you probably open and read any mail that's delivered via the good old USPS, right? Do you see an opportunity there to bypass the noise and get directly in front of your ideal customer? Send a newsletter in the mail. You can do it in minutes if you use PLR content.

4. Record a Powerpoint video. A video is nothing more than a sequence of ideas presented in a, hopefully, logical and coherent manner. So, why create your video from scratch when you can start with a PLR article? Simply take a PLR article, use it as talking points and you'll be recording your first videos in no time.

5. Publish your first book. Have you ever dreamed of becoming an author? But, maybe you're just struggling to find the time to write an entire book. Guess what? You don't have to. If you start with a quality PLR report, you can easily incorporate that into your book as a chapter. I know that it works because my customers have shown me their books on Amazon.

Are your wheels spinning? It's easy to see the potential profits to be made by using PLR articles. The most difficult part of the process is finding a PLR service that provides the quality content that you're looking for. Don't be afraid to look around. You're certain to find top-notch PLR providers that you'll love. But, don't just close this and do nothing with the information. Use it and profit.
