The Benefits of Prayer

By George Tabard

Prayer plays an important role in one's relationship with the Heavenly Father. The Bibles instructs in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to "pray without ceasing." If God wants us to continually pray it must be important. Having a healthy prayer life can be the most satisfying aspect of a your life. Pray is not one-sided, it is not only for God, but is beneficial for us as well.

One benefit of prayer is a stronger relationship with our Heavenly Father. In prayer, we open lines of communication. To have a healthy relationship, you should contact. In praying the Lord we are able to communicate our concerns, our needs and praises. Although God knows these things is very therapeutic for us to say out loud.

Prayer is very therapeutic. He has the power to reduce stress and anxiety. It can encourage and help us through difficult times. When we pray we can bring our burdens to God. This is being taken away. The charges are not ours to bear alone. You can be sure that God is in charge and that His will be done. Having promise of God to provide all our needs, we have no reason to worry (Philippians 4:19).

Luke 11:9 tells us "... Ask and you shall receive ..." (King James Version). An additional advantage is the ability of prayer to ask God's desires of our hearts. Sometimes we do not have the elements we would like, because we have God for them. Of course, our prayers should not be completely filled our needs, but we let God knows our wants and needs. If anyone can give to our desires, but God.

The above are just some of the benefits of a healthy prayer life has to offer. The fact that we were able to communicate with our Heavenly Father is a privilege that should not be ignored. Prayer is the most effective means would never in your life.
