What do you know regarding Bridgestone Tires

It is know to all that cab can go anywhere by itself alone. We can't move the car without having tires. To ensure safety and long wear we need to have quality tires.

Many entrepreneurs recognized that when the auto first became the means of transportation.Among many companies Bridgestone is one of them.

The company began in 1931 as a dream to furnish cars with tires. Shojiro Ishibashi. Bridgestone actually the English version of his surname.

Bridgestone grew right along with the rapidly growing auto industry in Japan to become the largest tire manufacture in the 40s and 50s. The company used Japanese technology to produce tires. They did lots of experimentation and finally they was able to produce quality tires. It was 1967 when they started selling radial tires. They as well started selling tires in other areas of the world. That included the United States where it opened a headquarters.

The company added to this by acquiring Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in 1988. With this acquisition, it became a respected global entity dedicated to producing the highest level of quality and service. This introduced in North America as well as in South America a large number of industry company. It brought back in racing the Firestone/Bridgestone brand. It has provides tires for racing since 1997.

After establishing its head office in Brussels, Belgium the company started their operation in Europe in 1972. It has 7 production plants in the area. The UK has not production plants but it has a technical bay where it inspects tires from customers who are dissatisfied. Tire having Bridgestone rebates could not pass inspection and they often provide tires with that.

The company was brought variation in other products line because of its inception. Polyurethane foam, construction materials and parts of electronic equipment, bicycles and sporting goods can be produced by Bridgestone. These products generate about one-fourth of the total sales of the group.

Bridgestone combined with a leading tire re-treader company Bandag.Inc in 2006. As the president explained,

"Higher fuel prices are prompting customers to cut costs [by using retreads]. It takes time and costs to develop this size business. We were able to get that all at once."

The company changed its name and Bridgestone Bandag, LLC is the new name of the company. It later became the Bridgestone Commercial Services Group.

Bridgestone is also a manufacture of aircraft tires. Bridgestone Aircraft is able to bring change in aircraft tire market with a product mix that can makes high quality tires for the new Boeing 787 and the Airbus A380.

Now the company own manufacturing plants in all the most important countries all around the world. This includes the United States, Mexico, Belgium, China, Hungry, and Spain. It has become one of the premier tire manufactures in the world.
