Look for a Job Outside the Country

By Hugo E. Cercil

Even if you lack much working experience, you might still be able work on an offshore oil drilling rig job. The thing is this, when they are preparing to take you out there, they get to training you for it anyway. And that training could last anything from a month to a year, depending a bit on the level of qualification you already have. In addition, you also get to learn on the job. I dare you to tell me that isn't cool.

On the offshore oil drilling rig, you might have to tackle a number of challenging situations that would keep you hard at work for longer than you planned from time to time. But when you come to think of it, is there a job on the planet that doesn't do that to you sometimes? I think not. So I'm going for the offshore job anyway.

Money, money, MONEY! Sometimes all that some people can see is the dollar sign when they hear or speak of offshore jobs. But it is a whole lot more than that. No one seems to remember that there is a lot of work to be done before you qualify to get that pay at the end of each month. I wish they all could see it and begin to reshape their plans. It would be better than the rude shock they are in for when they eventually make it to the oil rig.

When some folks hear about jobs offshore, such as oil drilling jobs all they can think about is petroleum engineering. However the field is rather vast, with room enough to accommodate loads of other disciplines. Even with your accounting degree, you could try applying too. After all, such companies offshore also need people that have other qualifications, don't they? Of course! So, you can always fit in.

You know, even you could clinch one of the many entry level positions on an offshore drilling rig. They put the vacancies out in the dailies from time to time - about annually or something. You could begin now to read about what the qualifications are and seeing if you have them. It indeed could be the beginning of the end to your financial problems. With what they pay!
