Is SEO Really Rocket Science Or Can Anybody Benefit From It

By Diane Cossie

The two biggest problems over 95% of all network marketers face is not finding enough people to talk to on a daily basis and not being able to generate any cashflow to stay in business long enough to make it pay. In the last few years the internet has been hailed as the perfect solution to both problems having huge social networking sites where millions of people hang out every day to provide enough people to talk to and online business presentation webinars to seal the deal and convert to cash in the bank. In recent years the Google slap has caused the network marketing industry a major headache forcing hundreds of thousands of network marketers off Google forever. Training companies have struggled to find a solution for people and that is leaving the vast majority of network marketers struggling to stay the distance.

Nothing has the potential to transform your business faster than a load of targeted traffic to your website. On the internet content is most definitely king but traffic is the blood that runs through its veins and without it you are in for a long dust trail of frustration. We spent several years in network marketing before creating our company Creative Online Marketing and we have tested plenty of business building strategies both offline and online. From offline old school strategies such as pitching to strangers and telesales to online strategies like video marketing and solo ads and we found the online strategies that worked best for us were strongly assisted by SEO and personal branding. Becoming an expert in anything new just takes time and daily practise, SEO is no different.

Being thrown in at the deep end of a swimming pool and being told to sink or swim does not really make you learn to swim so deciding on the well versed strategy of many an upline of just get it going is not really the best way to build your business. The vast majority of people who will spend all their time being busy but not being effective are the same ones that will never take the time to sit down and plan out their business plan, decide on a marketing budget for the first three months and commit to a marketing plan to attract customers and distributors to them. Online marketing can be completely overwhelming without good coaching but a good rule of thumb is to focus on just two or three marketing strategies and apply them religiously for the next 90 days.

One of the best long term strategies for your business is SEO or search engine optimisation. A by product of SEO is that it will bring a structure to your business and of course boost viewings to your website for free. Think about your business as tree on a piece of paper and write down the top five keywords that relate to your business its products and the benefits of its products and services. Think of these as the core of everything you , as if it was the trunk of your tree and any pages and articles you write are the leaves. Make it a challenge to read 3 books in the top ten of your niche in the next 30-90 days and watch yourself emerge quickly into an expert in your field. By providing this structure and foundation from which to build you will stop being one of those people that suffers from internet ADD every day always hopping around being busy but broke.

Getting SEO right is not something you can piece together yourself, it is something you will inevitably have to invest it at some point in your online business career. Finding the right mentors that break things down into easy to manage chunk size pieces makes the whole thing as easy as painting by numbers.
