Use deep breathing techniques to assuage your anxiety with regard to public speaking. First, take a deep breath and hold it for about three seconds. Then exhale very slowly. Do this a few times, and you'll see that it does help. Breathe in deeply and exhale slowly. Do this about 6 times to calm yourself down.

If you want to feel confident in your speech, you need to practice it. Speak to a mirror or make a recording of your speech in order to make refinements. You can also include friends and family in the audience.
