When you think about any kind of networking platform in the world, sharing is seen as one of the most common actions out there. Of course there are other names that can be given in place of this - "retweeting" and "reblogging" being two examples - but it all comes down to the same basic principle. You like a post so much that you want to post it and allow others to see it as well. How can a social media marketing coach look at this idea in greater detail, though?

In most cases, sharing is done by the common Internet user as a means of entertainment. They may find an article that they find either informative or amusing; as a result, they have the inclination to repost it in such a way that others would be able to see it, too. Speaking from experience, adding your own commentary is tremendous because it gives just a little more than a simple share by itself can do. Of course, this is going to vary depending on who you talk to.

Knowing the importance of sharing should, in theory, make you that much more driven to share out content that you feel is interesting.
