The NYC Violations Removal Procedure

By Karina Frost

The winter is finally ending and the spring coming and this makes the ice to finally melt away. The New York transport department sets up some rules that must be fulfilled by every person who owns a side walk. People who fail to fulfill them may be issued with the violation tickets and this leads to the need for NYC violations removal plans. In order to achieve this there are some things that must be done.

The first thing to do before beginning the whole process is, looking for a contractor who is licensed and has adequate experienced so that they can examine the sidewalk. They will help to determine the amount of work that is to be done so that the violations are removed from the sidewalk at hand. If one received a PIR from the government, they are required to show them that document before hiring them.

If a tree is present on the sidewalk, one is required to contact the forestry department to determine what should be done. This is only relevant if this tree is interfering with the sidewalk. This department however does not have the authority to cut roots so if this is necessary, the property owner should contact a licensed arborist to cut the roots.

When hiring a certain contractor, one should make sure that they have acquired all the necessary permits that allow them to perform these works. One can also choose to look for their own permits if they need to save some money. The curb can also bring about issues in the work. For this reason, if it is available in the violation, the contractor should also asses it to see what can be done. The curb however needs a different kind of permit.

There are certain walkways that are branded as chosen landmarks. For these kinds of situations, a landmark property agreement license is needed apart from all other required permits. The landmark protection organization is the group that is accredited to approve all the applications. They have a necessity that people should include the photo as well as a map of the place that is being repaired.

After all the requirements have been acquired, the next thing to be done by the contractor is begin the repair project. After all this has been done, the sidewalk should be free of any risks of tripping or falling and it must also look better that it was before the project. After everything is properly done, there are some documents that can be presented to the relevant authorities to prove the corrections and have the violations removed.

In order to make sure everything in this process is done professionally, the sidewalk managers hired should be very professional. They should be able to assess the situation easily and take appropriate action. The professional are likely to know the cheaper methods of correcting any mistakes thus it will be less costly.

A sidewalk manager is a person who is able to review a place and determine if it has any trip and fall hazards that need to be rectified. They also understand all the proper measures that can be taken to correct any problems that are detected.
