Wrestlers & The Possibility Of Working In The Protective Group

By Rob Sutter

Most would take a look at The Protective Group and make the assumption that it is all about physical strength. In order to become hired, supposedly that's all you have to possess in order to make it, right? While this is one aspect, to be certain, there are others which can make the best workers. While wrestlers may not be the first identities to speak of, I think it is apparent that they could prove to be some of the best if they keep certain matters in mind.

The Protective Group is always going to have that focus on physical aptitude, so do not discredit this attribute. This is just one of many, though, which companies along the lines of T.P.G. are going to key in on as well. Events are going to be multiple and with each type, there are going to be certain guests which will be part of them. Awareness has to be kept at high levels so that if matters become tumultuous, the workers have the ability to notice them and work to correct such matters, too.

You may be looking at this type of comparison and wondering what role wrestling has in relation to the subject at hand. Well, keep in mind that wrestlers are not only strong in their own rights but precise in other matters. For example, someone like CM Punk is pretty intelligible in his own right and his pairing of quick strikes and ring knowledge has helped him many times in the past. It goes to show just how strong he can be and how varied his offense can be on the whole.

Triple H is another individual who should be referenced, since it seems like he understands wrestling more than most others. He has an extensive amount of knowledge on the matter and I believe that his ability to work in the ring has proven itself countless times. I believe that this kind of mindset can help others as well, especially if this was their first time in a business involving security. Seeing as how there are a number of layers, I believe it could come into play.

As you can tell, not every in-ring competitor is going to theoretically work within The Protective Group and there are reasons for this. This isn't necessarily a slight to them but rather an indication of just what is required in order to perform in said group. There are workers which must possess a number of qualities, each of them vital in order to perform well. For a number of events which require security, it's clear that more than just one element comes into the picture.
